How to make a app has just learned that the Army is developing mobile apps. What does this all mean for mobile app developers? And more importantly, is the real battle beginning between iPhone and Android? Maybe, but only if you are in the Army, then Android seems to be winning. As more and more companies are developing mobile applications the US Army has jumped into the mix and developing devices and an application development platform to provide soldiers with communications and custom-built apps during combat. Now You Can Go To School To Be An Mobile App Developer

How to make a app, just found out that its alma mater, San Diego State University, is one of many schools jumping on the bandwagon to offer advanced certifications in Web and mobile application development starting this fall. How great is that? The latest job listing states that an average mobile app developer can earn $63,000 per year. Not too shabby. And yes that includes both iPhone Development and Android App Development. Additionally, a number of other schools such as Rasmussen College is also taking advantage of this growing job market by offering an associate’s degree on the subject.

I can tell you from my own experience that, mobile app developers, are in high demand. There simply just isn’t enough mobile app developers for all the work that is being offered. More demand and less supply, makes for a great job and mores so job security. Or at least perceived job security as no job is entirely guaranteed.

FREE Voice Chat Mobile Application

T Mobile just announced that they released a voice chat mobile application that can make calls via Facebook and that is available on the app store. Not quite entirely sure how this FREE mobile app will compete with Skype. As a regular Skype user and not much of a Facebook fan, I am not sure how they two will go head to head. I might just have to give it a try.

Its supposedly able to leave voice mails. It’s an interesting play, its not VOIP, its not a social media app, its not a cell phone, its a combination of all three. Let’s see. Time will tell which mobile app is best, Skype already has their own version of a mobile app that’s been around for some 4-5 years.

To start using the app, you need to download the plugin from the Facebook Bobsled page. Then restart the browser. Click on the Facebook chat and you’ll see a green phone icon alongside your friends’ names who are available for a chat session.

AT&T Buys T-Mobile – Why Its Great For Mobile Apps?

Look I realize the merger between behemoth AT&T and T-Mobile probably doesn’t interest you, but lets break it down from a mobile apps developer perspective and how this can help you to make a app.

This is really HUGE!

Why?

Because it justifies the space that we are playing in. With the $39BB acquisition AT&T has effectively broadened its reach to just about everywhere and has single handedly made itself the largest mobile carrier provider in the states.

Now I am no fan of big business or corporate America, but I am a fan when I see the writing on the wall, and the writing says, that this investment that AT&T has made only legitimizes the mobile app space.  Continue reading
